I know it is early but I want to remind clients I am guiding on Kentucky Lake “Big Sandy” area November 1-17th. Near Paris Tennessee. I have these trips still available. November 5,6,7. I only take two besides myself on these trips. We all set up on the nose of my boat and tight line 12ft. rods over stake beds and brush. We do it this way mainly because of the wind. My boat can handle it comfortably. It is so wide open down there that you will be in some sort of breeze. Too much for a slip bobber. Anyway we get into some real nice crappie every day ranging from 13-16in. Some pushing three pounds but I see a few past two every day. This is why I go “Big Fish”. Most of my clients have their personal best with me and that gives me great joy.

I have five graphs on my boat and I am very comfortable fishing deep 20-30ft. I just purchased a 16in. graph to watch my Livescope up front and boy does it have a good picture. I have been fishing down on Kentucky Lake now since the early 90’s and I know it very well. The lake will be drawn to winter pool before we get there so you had better know where you are going.

The Big Sandy is huge, just that arm is about the size of Shelbyville and you consider Kentucky Lake is 190 miles long and runs through three states. Very intimidating to those that have not been there hundreds of times like I have. You need excellent mapping, side imaging, GPS, Livescope and regular sonar and a big boat to be successful.

The weather down there in November typically 40-60 some days a little colder and some days warmer. Warmer than it is at home by about 10 degrees about every day.

Well anyone that wants to get in on this give me a call or shoot me an email. Like I have said in the past we all stay at The Lake Lodge. It is nearly brand new and very secluded and only about four miles from the lake. I love it there, your boat and truck are under cover and Eric the owner is a great guy. We are like family, and I just come to your room and take you to breakfast then hit the lake. Those that have went in the past can attest.

My phone number is 217-840-1221 or just go to my website and shoot me an email from there. LakeShelbyvilleGuide.com.
The Lake Lodge number is 731-571-8304. Eric Nichols is the owner

Don’t forget Johhny Mac on Thursdays at the Blues Landing bar/restaurant. A must see
