The lake level is at 596.86 as of Tuesday and still rising. Normal winter pool is 594 feet above sea level. From the 32 bridge over to just west of Camfield the water is very dirty. I am sticking to my original statement since several have reached out. I will be putting out my calendar for 2026 on December 1st. It will be later in the day since I need to be in St. Louis that morning weather depending on weather. Most are interested in the walleye trips. The lake level is 598.62 or roughly 16in. low. Water color is gin clear all over the lake but the extreme north end. The carp and baitfish have it all stirred up. Water temps are back to 83-85. Weather has been hot and that fires up the white bass. A strong south wind comes with it and that helps fishermen and bunching up the white bass. Extended forecast has it cooling off mid-week. The lake is about 6in. low or 599.15. Thursday brought in a severe cold front and I saw water temps drop from almost 90 down to 75 in just 36 hours. It is bounced back to 80 as of August 2nd. The lake level is 599.97 or basically summer pool. Water temps are running from 81-85. The lake is pretty clear despite many pop up showers. The area from Bo-Woods boat ramp over to Coalshaft bridge and from Wilborn boat ramp down to the Point 6 flat has so many balls of shad you can't believe they are hungry. The south end of the lake is nothing like this. Only on the three flat is there shad activity like this. We also have been fighting a very bad algae bloom that just lingers on. The lake Level is 599.62 or .29 under summer pool. Water temps shot all the way up to 86 now have settled in around 82. It has been very hot which has moved the crappie to cubes and deep down trees. The whites are roaming channel banks busting on shad early in the morning.
